Bio

If you ever come across the name James “Jimbo” Fogarty, don’t let him smooth talk you. Just trust me on this…

This is the slender, blonde haired kid from grade school with the voice of a lifelong Marlboro Man. He got his first gig early, impersonating his father when the principal called about his sister’s whereabouts. From then on, his friends were convinced he would hit it big. “Jimbo could be a male phone sex operator,” they said. Most of those kids are in prison now.

Mr. Fogarty, on the other hand, went to a fancy-pants university in Fort Worth, Texas where his creative spirit and acting abilities blossomed into a Business Management degree. He began polishing his silver tongue by selling pharmaceuticals to physicians in the Houston Medical Center early in his career. Later, he was recruited to Clear Channel Radio where he developed brilliant radio advertising campaigns by day, but took private lessons from top-tier voice coaches and remained a voiceover apprentice by night. When he finally twisted some arms into letting him voice company training videos, the women were floored by his performance and offered him $3.99/minute to create more videos, radio ads, television ads, sporting goods commercials, audio books, and whatever else that would keep that sweet ear candy coming.

Six years later, his voice continues to run rampantly over the airwaves. You’ve undoubtedly heard him before: he’s the guy who got you through that boring safety video, sold you tickets to a rock concert, and urged you to get out and vote for every politician who paid him. He’s impersonated God, Santa Claus, and often plays an old Texas outlaw. He adds testosterone to any narration.

Jimbo has his own studio, mixing room, and red lamp shade, you know … for the ladies. If you call this guy to do your voiceover, you can expect him to be the friendliest, most honest and humble guy you’ve ever met. He takes direction very well and puts a nice slathering of creativity on everything he does.

When he’s not studying the art of advertising and audio production, he’s probably at his ranch in East Texas where he runs with a pack of wild boar. He is a storyteller with or without the microphone and a professional in every essence of the word. Although, he reserves the dirty talk for his loving wife.
